I only use positive reinforcement training methods. It has been proven that earning rewards, whether this be treats, praise or toys makes the dog more likely to repeat the behaviour. Positive reinforcement is one of the most powerful tools for shaping or changing your dog's behaviour, whilst building a solid, trusting relationship.

Owners that train using rewards report fewer behavioural problems in their dogs, which in turn helps build confidence and encourages the dogs to think for themselves.

We cannot expect a dog to behave in the way we want them to or change unwanted behaviour, when they have not been taught the conduct we do want. Training is not magic, it takes hard work and dedication but is 100% worth it as we see the positive changes.
